Okay y'all, I'm actually putting up pictures from the Zombie movie filming in a somewhat reasonable time.
I don't have a ton to say about the shoot that you can't just get from looking at the pictures. But here you go, it was like 90 degrees, we filmed for about 11 hours straight. The smell of the zombie goop nearly made me throw up about 70 times, and there was no where to pee.
Otherwise, totally awesome, so look at the ~~pretty~~ freaky pictures.

COMIC CON POST PART 2

All right, working on part two, which is probably more difficult for me then you would think, since I basically have the attention span of a gnat. But anyway, ANYWAY. On with the show ... or, you know... whatever.

DAY THREE

Day three was Doctor who costumes day for us.
And Day three began. STUPID.
Like, majorly, STUPID.
We got to the convention center before doors, because for some reason Comic Con doesn't want to run 24 hours like other conventions do...? This is beyond me, but so are most things.
But anyway ANYWAY, we were waiting outside before the convention opened, because we wanted to get into the dealer's hall before other people, to get to the BBC America booth so we could get tickets for the Mighty Boosh autograph session since we didn't get to go to the Adult Swim one.

So we were there, right when it opened, like RIGHT WHEN IT OPENED. WE FRICKING RAN TO THE BOOTH.
And they were like "Yeah, we ain't go no more tickets." Two minutes after the hall opened. Literally.

I wanted to hit something. But instead I got tea. Which doesn't really make up for things. Especially since it was Starbucks tea. And I am tea snob. While we were waiting in line for Starbucks the cool Ten from Gallifrey Con recognized Elisa, and was all excited about her being Donna again, or something. I don't think he remembered me at all. But that's fine, and leads me to a theory which I will discuss later. Whatever. I had a big gun. It was sort of the theme of the day, people were like "Oooh Donna!" and kind of ignored me. Fun times. Anyway, I was still in a really bad mood.

So we went and sat down, and I hated the world and drank tea.
And wished I wasn't wearing a goddam vinyl jacket that made me feel like I was roast pig. And I kind of looked like one too.
Whatever. I had a big gun.

But then Jen came and found us. And she hadn't realized that Leonard Nimoy was there, and she is practically every bit the Star Trek geek that I am so we accompanied her back to meet Leonard Nimoy. And through the magic of Jen's boobs or something, not only did we get to take pictures with him this time, but we actually got to talk to him.

He was really impressed by my gun. And he asked me "what do you do with that gun."
I'm not a big fat spazz or anything and I told him that I used to it knock over Liquor Stores because it was the first thing that came to mind.

Okay, so when I said I wasn't it big fat spazz, I was lying. Sorry. But at least he seemed to find that all very amusing. As people seem to do when I make an idiot of myself.
I'm pretty sure he liked Elisa best though. Which made me a little sad, because I love the man like a bad habit.
But I still had a big gun.

But Brent Spiner (Data from Next Generation, for those of you not in the know) was also there. And he liked me. He proposed to me. There is my bragging claim there.
I was bibbling something at him about how Data was always my favorite in Next Generation. And he was all "what about ALL of Star Trek." And I had to tell him that honestly, when I was a little girl I wanted to marry Captain Kirk. He told me that I could still marry William Shatner, I told him that I didn't really want to, plus it would be a pretty short marriage.
Which is when he said that we should get married. I thought it sounded like an awfully good idea.

So then Jen went her separate way from us, and Me and Elisa wandered off. So, Naoko Mori and John Barrowman were there signing for Torchwood and whatever again. So we actually stopped by and talked to Naoko for a while, who remembered us and was really happy to see us. Apparently John Barrowmen was happy to see Elisa? What do I know. Big gun people, remember the big gun.

So then AFTER THAT, we decided to go to the Zachary Quinto panel he was having with Archadia publishing. I'll be honest, I went because it said Zachary Quinto and surprise special guest, and my thought process was: Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are really good friends, maybe Chris Pine will be the surprise guest! I knew that there was a good chance he wouldn't be, but I also knew that if I didn't go, and it was him, I would probably have to just walk into traffic and be done with it. And if nothing else, we could get pictures for Anja, Melissa, and Kim. Since they love Zach.

It wasn't Chris. It was some guy from publishing who I had no idea who he was. Which was fine, I actually have tons more respect for the man after that panel. Because some of his fans that were there ... they were ... special... really special ... like, no really one of them was basically Old Gregg.

Other then that, we ate food. I drew more madness on paper tablecloths. And Ellen took pictures of us in a gazebo...? I don't know.

Elisa and the Ten both look pretty good in this picture. The only good things I can say about how I look is, wow that's a nice gun, and it's kind of neat that it looks like my hair is blowing in the wind.

Okay, so there was this guy dressed up as Frank the bunny, from Donnie Darko. And I kind of went ballistic.

DAY FOUR

Buffy costumes day.
Faith outfit made me unhappy. Those pants were like second skin, so I could barely breathe. And they were vinyl. I was hot and grumpy, and generally just in a bad mood.
The line for David Tennant was ridiculous. Really Really Really ridiculous, like I thought we weren't going to get in ridiculous, and outside -.- Not good. And there was lot's of "Look, look it's Buffy!" And some tart in vinyl pants, I'm sure.

Basically my self esteem did not exist that day, I'd had a little bit on day three, and by day four it was gone. It kind of went like Day 1- Princess Serenity, I feel pretty! Day 2- Star Trek ... not at pretty, but I look kinda, right? Day 3- Rose ...not really feeling sexy, but hey, I've got a cool gun... Day 4 - Faith, I feel like crap, I feel like I look like crap. I feel like I look like a sausage stuffed into casing. Boooooo.

It was really awesome to see David though, he was lovely and Scottish, and the only man I know of who can wear a glittery Storm Trooper shirt and not look like a total idiot. But in my opinion the man could wear a potato sack. He was funny, and charming. And Russel T. Davies behaved like an ass towards his fans, and bagged on Star Trek and Supernatural. I can't say I expected any less from him.

Then we had to basically RUN to the Supernatural panel because some moron on the Comic Con staff decided that it would be BRILLIANT to put two of the most popular panels back to back. We ended up missing like fifteen minutes of the Supernatural panel which was laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame, but I have to be honest, this year's Comic Con was the most poorly organized and had the rudest staff. BAH ON YOU STAFF AND BEING MEAN TO ME! I HATE YOU!

ANYWAY. I was a little sad that Jare-bear and Jensen weren't able to come to Comic Con this year, but since the reason they weren't there was because they were working on filming for Season Five I couldn't really be mad about it. And it was really amazing to listen to Misha Collins and Jim Beaver, mostly Misha though, I love that man. Although to be honest, I pretty much love the crew and the writers of Supernatural. They're pretty awesome.

Then we cruised the Dealer's hall a little bit, two people knew who I was dressed up as. Good job you two.

HOWEVER, HOWEVER. When we were walking through the halls I saw Misha Collins and kind of squeaked at him, like a spazz, of course. And he turned around, and totally grinned and checked me out.

It was the only reason I didn't just curl up into a ball of self-loathing that day

Then we went to see "Once more with Feeling", the Buffy musical, for the Comic Con closing ceremony. The highlight probably being that they played the Rocky Horror soundtrack beforehand, and the overweight idiots sitting in front of us decided to dance to the time warp, and APPARENTLY one of us doesn't know our directions very well, so when it said "it's just a jump to the left" the collided in mid air.

It was... beautiful.... I laughed really loudly. It made life amazing.

And then Ellen came and picked us up, I got to do guerrilla wardrobe changing in a restaurant bathroom. And then we kind of just chilled out for a while and ate dinner and drank Iced Tea, since our flight wasn't until 9PM that night.

Oh and guess what? It was delayed. Color me shocked. Stupid Southwest.

So, what did we learn on the show today Lin?

First off, I need less attractive friends. Seriously, I need to find some mutants and hunchbacks to start hanging out with, because my friends are all WAY too pretty and they make look like a troll... or just blend into the background.

Second off, big plastics guns are your friends. Not only do they grab people's attention who would otherwise not pick you out in a crowd, but in close quarters you can use them to beat your way out to safety.

Third off, and I cannot stress this enough kids. Vinyl pants are the devil. They are to be avoided at all costs. And guess what? Heat makes them tighter. No seriously.

Well, that's it for now. I am planning, at some point, to make a big random pictures from the past couple of months post since I've gotten more then just a little bit lax about all that.

But now I think I'm going to just sit on my badonkadonk and think about what I've done..... or something....

COMIC CON POST PART 1!

Okay, so it's been forever and a day since my last update, but let's be fair. I have been busy, and I really only ever update this journal when I have something worth posting pictures of. And I know it's kind of late to be updating about Comic Con, since a couple of weeks have gone by at this point. But it's better late then never... and it was really starting to look like never was a viable option at this point.

But here's to me get off my badonkadonk ... or on it as the case may be, and get to putting up some sort of update. So here it goes.

Day 0/Preview Night

Our plane was delayed by an hour, it took us another 45 minutes of sitting on the tarmac before we even got up in the air, and ho boy howdy, I had two hours of sleep. Yay me, yay life.

This was about the point that we discovered that me on sleep deprivation has no problems launching into a full Broadway musical, singing and dancing included. So you know, excerpts from Sweet Charity and Moulin Rouge in the middle of an airport... yeeeeehasssss.

But anyway, ANYWAY. It's about a million degrees hotter in San Diego then San Francisco, and I really must bare this more in mind as far next years costumming. Like I'm thinking that I will lose tons and tons and tons of weight by next year so I can wear costumes that require a lot less clothing because ... DAMN it was hot >.<.

I'm really getting off target here... sorry. Okay, so, we land in San Diego, our bags take forever to show up and my face wash has EXPLODED because I apparently cannot make the trek from San Francisco to San Diego or visa versa without something utterly STUPID happening to my luggage. Luckily, being the weird, vegetarian, tree hugger that I am, it was just made from jojoba oil and had no dyes or chemicals, so nothing got stained.

So Elisa's AMAZING mom, Ellen, picked us up from the airport. It took a bit to get to our hotel, since traffic in downtown San Diego is wicked crazy around Comic Con, but it was cute, and it meant getting a clean bathroom. But between the delayed flight and the traffic it was almost 5PM by the time we got to the convention center to pick our badges, and Elisa was worried that we wouldn't get them in time and that the line would be too long.
Which was an all together valid concern, especially when you take into account the line at last year's Comic Con. But I hit a point where I was too tired to give a flying rat about very much.

But it turned out that we timed it amazing, and we got in to get our badges in like, two seconds flat. And then we went and shopped preview night, and got Star Trek mugs and Supernatural shot glasses, and then ate Indian food and basically lived happily ever after.

DAY ONE

Totally Princess/We don't have anything planned to do today ... day? Anyway, Elisa was re-wearing her Giselle from last year, and I was re-wearing Princess Serenity because
A) it is my very most favoritest costume that I own.
B) It has only been worn in its completion (i.e. wig and all) once at Fanime last year, and I really just wore it long enough for Elisa to take pictures of me in it, because I had really screwed up my ankle and standing made me want to die on the inside.

Getting off track again, sorry.

Although, I'm gonna be honest... I don't have very much to say about Day one. I bought a New Kirk action figure, and I mean, Serenity is a little bit on an ordeal, because that is a MASSIVE wig and a MASSIVE dress.
And I think I was still pretty sleep deprived (well, I was sleep deprived like, the whole weekend) and may have gone quite made a few times...
But I digress. Look at these pictures and come to your own conclusion.

The room keys were basically completely amazing. And I of course made a stink until I got the Supernatural one, because I'm just so FRIGGIN mature.

We were found by lovely lovely Miss Jen, who was also dressed as Giselle, so she and Elisa needed a picture together.

DAY TWO
Was INFINITELY MORE EPIC THEN DAY ONE. We were dressed as Star Trek (original series, thanks much) Nurses, in costumes I made myself, because, yes, I'm basically completely awesome in case you were wondering.
But anyway... basically, ever since I had discovered that Leonard Nimoy was going to be signing at Comic Con I went a little bit (completely) insane. So we were on a Mission from God ... or at least my insanity, and we were briefly shanghaied by a couple of rather nice Trekkie girls with a tribble who wanted to take our picture ... with the tribble. And they told us that Nichelle Nichols was there signing. I don't remember much of what happened between me freaking out and us actually ending up at the booth where she was signing.
But basically, she's amazing, and so nice, and Goddam it still COMPLETELY GORGEOUS... which is totally unfair, I don't even look that good and I'm 23.
So then we headed over to where Leonard Nimoy was signing, and the amazingly nice people who worked there really loved our costumes and took pictures of us (and have I mentioned that I'm a genius, because I'm really proud of those damnable outfits). Leonard was a little swamped when we met him, so I basically only got to squeak "hi" at him, and fan myself like a spazz, and he looked very tolerant during the whole thing and even shook my hand after signing my autograph.
Honestly, I have no idea why the Hell people bother to indulge me sometimes and why they don't just call security ... because man am I special.
But not really getting to talk to him was all right, because at that point

A) I was being a total spazz, no really, TOTAL spazz
and
B) The next day we got to actually TALK to him, but THAT NEEDS TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT ENTRY BEFORE I GET TOO DISTRACTED.

So we were going to go try and get in to Adult Swim's Mighty Boosh autograph session, but they were total dicks and only gave out 100 tickets. I mean seriously? What is that even all about? WHATEVER. So we decided to go hang out in the room that they were doing their panel in so we could have good seats.

By the way, our seats were stellar, and I got amazing pictures of them. The only downside being that one of the panels we had to sit through beforehand made us watch the trailer episode of this new show called "past lives" .... it made my life hurt, honestly, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and die it was that bad. But there were some actually very down to earth and sweet Boosh fans who sat by us who had the same idea. And we were joined by the lovely Miss Anja.

AND FRICKING TOM KENNY WAS THERE! JUST CHILLING OUT! In case any of you don't know, that's the voice of Sponge Bob, so I like, totally freaked out and all but vaulted over chairs because he was going to WALK AWAY BEFORE I COULD GET A PICTURE WITH HIM AND THAT WAS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE!
He's awwwwwwwwwwwwesome, and he told Anja that he wanted to take the three of us home to meet his son who is apparently a giant Star Trek TOS fan, and would completely love us.

Then was the Boosh panel. Which was AWESOME. They were pretty fascinated by us, I mean, I we were quite the sight, the little group of us. They had such a amazing stories. There are videos of which can be found here and here. I have to admit, having Noel Fieling looking directly at me, numerous times, was sort of unsettling and awesome all at the same time. In case I forgot that I adore him.

After that we took photos of the epic variety of us in our awesome uniforms and our awesome props. And ended up buying tribbles. Then we met up with Ellen, and Elisa's cousins Erika, Leena, and Erika's boyfriend Will. And we had amazing Indian food, and Comic Con themed cocktails. Then we seriously all went and watched Star Trek, in our costumes, I think the theater workers just about died.

But anyway... look, some pictures.

The last weekend started with a Mighty Boosh Party. Which I think was fantastic? I was more drunk then I had been in my entire life, so, as seen here, I had never been so hung over in my entire life... or hung over period. So, needless to say, I have been informed of various goings on that night, and it's like hearing about it the first time for me because I remember basically NOTHING.

On account of that, I sort of censored what pictures I'm going to post from the party. Sorry guys.

Sunday I whinged on like I was on my death bed and was a general misery because I was so hung over, but Alissa and Elisa took care of me until Alissa went out with her parents. Then once I felt human Elisa, Alyssa, Phillip and I went to Squat and Gobble. And it was DELICIOUS.

Monday was Japantown with the Elisas and Alyssa Whiting. We did PuriKura and got yummy foods. I had to take a brief break from them to go take a test in my least favourite class in the entire world. And then we had fun in Target, along with Miss Alissa, and Indian Food.

Tuesday for St. Patty's Elisa, Alissa, Alyssa and I went to the castro. We had green spinach noodles at Nirvana, and I was semi browbeat into slipping a waiter my phone number... he was cute. He didn't call. I didn't figure he would. Life goes on, I ain't bovvered though.
Afterwords we went to see Darby O'Gill and the little people at the Castro theatre. It was amazing, and had young Sean Connery, which you all know, I love.

Wednesday, was pretty chill. Elisa had class all day, and wednesday is my day off, so I hung out with Alyssa and we watched Doctor Who.

Thursday Alyssa, Alissa, Elisa, and I went to Japan town, more Puri Kura, more great food. On the Bridge, sooo awesome.

Friday was hanging out with Elisa before she left FOREVER..... or a week anyway.

Then this weekend I got to see my parents. Saturday I hung out with my dad, we got dinner at my favourite Chinese restaurant. And on Sunday we went to Sacaramento to see my Mom who'd been staying with my grandparents.

All in all, fairly good week for me. Soon Elisa R. Will be here and there will be some sort of adventures this week I'm sure. So exciting.

Oh Wondercon. Not anywhere near as epic as Gallifrey was, but still quite fun.

Friday

In the tradition of Last Year's Wondercon We did TIGER PUNCH! costumes again, Although this time we did "Season Two", and Dayglow Assassin and Agent Orange were joined by Elisa R. as our Sergeant Cerulean. Taking lot's of pictures was fun. Being accosted by disgusting men while in my Dayglow Assassin costume, was not so fun.
And not that I dropped oodles money at Wondercon last year, in fact, I think all I bought was a comic book and Anti-Aids Godzilla, but still there is a little less love in a convention when I am broke as all sin. Seriously, I need to get a job.
After wandering around the convention, we went back to Miss Elisa's and watched Torchwood special features and Doctor Who, and had pizza.

Saturday was Buffy day! Initially Elisa R. was going to reprise her Sarah Jane costume that I made her for Gallifrey Con, but she so enjoyed being part of a group that we put together a Cordelia costume out of Miss Elisa's wardrobe to go along with our Buffy and Drusilla costumes.
We took Elisa R.'s car, because the weather was looking fit to become evil at an moment. Saturday was crazy crowded though, it was like the entire populace of San Francisco turned up.
However, we found and hung out with Riannon, in her absolutely fantastic Hench Lady costume from Venture Brothers.
Another Wondercon tradition meant that we ate dinner at Chevys, we had margaritas as big as our heads, and Riannon and I watched the Elisas become drunk and hilarious ... and then watched Elisa R. fall asleep on our table.

Unfortunately Elisa R. had work, so she was unable to join us on Sunday, boo, sad face. We took a cab. I was dressed as a Gentern and Elisa was from Korean Hana yori dango, which I've never seen, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of her costume, but she did look very cute. But between the massive amounts of rain and being dressed as a sleezy nurse, public transportation was just not happening.
Several boys geeked at me, they had no idea what I was dressed as, as Chadd put it, they were going "Heeeey narf.... you're a girl.... you have legs."
My stupid Gentern mask made my eyes hurt like hell, because it was bad enough not being able to wear my glasses, but it was even worse since the plastic was not 100% transparent, so I had to deal with everything being red AND cloudy.... bah.
But we had a good time hanging out with duchessofquirk, her boy, and her lovely roommate mrs_lizzydarcy, until Riannon showed up... like right before it closed lol.
But we took pictures, I changed in the bathroom into normal clothes, and then me, Elisa, and Riannon had dinner at Mel's diner and went to see Coraline in 3D. Which was so adorable.
Riannon, btw, is completely my savior, because she made special pit stop to take me and my luggage home so that I didn't have to walk home from Elisa's in the pouring rain, dragging my bags behind me.

Ha ha ha. No really. Stuff about my normal every day life can totally wait, because this weekend was so totally more epic then anything ever is for me... like seriously... ever.
I will post winter break stories and pictures soon, I swear... probably.

So Thursday night we made the long long trek from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Which started out a little bit full of horror because we got massively lost in the east bay. But it meant that we went Inn-n-out, so there was "grilled cheese" and a strawberry milkshake! Which was awesome.

About an hour or so into the drive, Elisa R. was tired, so I took over, which became our fairly awesome system of me driving, Miss Elisa paying for gas and Elisa R. providing the car (seriously, those two need codenames, me and my mom discussed calling them Ginger and Mary-Anne from now on). We stayed over at Anja's, and I felt super bad since we didn't get in until like 4 in the morning, but she gave us tea and snacks, and is just generally awesome.

DAY ONE!

Anja made us breakfast before we headed out ... IT WAS DELICIOUS! I love you Anja, come live with me and make me waffles, like right now, I'm hungry.
TORCHWOOD DAY!!!!!!!! It rained like mad!!! Which was sort of appropriate, especially since we drove in an SUV in the rain, lulz.
Miss Elisa and I were Tosh and Gwen, she kept telling me that I really looked like Eve Myles, which made me super happy because she is SOOOOOO pretty. Elisa R. wasn't in costume, but she always looks cute, so she got away with it just fine.
We got there a bit late, so we missed the first panel with Gareth David Lloyd and Kai Owen, however, we made it to the autograph signing.
I was kind of an idiot when I was talking to Kai Owen, but he was sooooooo nice, and I adore his accent. They weren't allowing photos with him, but he told me that if I waited outside the doors for him he would take pictures with me anyway. SO SWEET!
And I brought my picture of me with Gareth when I was dressed as Tinkerbell. And he TOTALLY remembered me! SQUEE!
Which, by the way Elisa (the ginger one) and I totally did as soon as we were proper distance away.
We waited for Kai to come out and he totally was so nice, and snuggly and Welsh, and said he would be in the pub most of the weekend so we should come by and get a pint with him at some point. So cute!
Aaaaaaand (as you will see) they had a replica of the TARDIS that we all took pictures with.
We had dinner and then we went back to the hotel room, and later Miss Anja pants showed up we watched crappy movies and got room order milk shakes

DAY TWO!

Yay saturday! I was in my "Unquiet Dead" Rose costume, Ginger-Elisa was in "Unicorn and the wasp" Donna, and Brunette-Elisa was in "Hand of Fear" Sarah Jane.
We decided to check out the dealer's hall, since they hadn't had all that much set up the first day. We were walking around looking at things when Ginger-Elisa grabs me and Brunette-Elisa's arm and pulls us and whispers.
"Lin, Callum Blue, is right-behind-you."
But since he wasn't a convention sponsored guest, it was twenty dollars for an autograph, and I was broke, but then she said she would lend me the money, so I kissed her, in a non-gay way, and sort of lurched over the to the table he was sitting at and proceeded to stand there folding and unfolding the twenty dollar bill and saying "hi" to him like 897987980 times.
So basically I gushed at him, and told him that I've had a huge crush on him since I was in high school.
I think I really amused him since he said "Well, I've got a crush on you right now." And at one point just said "awwww, just come here" and hugged me since I was almost on the verge of a sobbing freak out.
So amazing, I don't think I could have been a bigger freak though.

Later on we went to see the Wendy Padbury panel, who, for those of you who don't know, played Zoe Heriot. She's so lovely! I hope that I'm so cute and amazing when I'm her age.
Afterwords we watched Gareth David Lloyd's panel, in which he talked about "Doctor Poo, and the Turdis", and jumping onto the set of the TARDIS interior and pressing buttons and throwing switches. It was pretty amazing.

After that Ginger-Elisa and I went to see Kai Owen's live commentary on the "Something Borrowed" episode of TORCHWOOD. It was amazing, the man is hilarious. Although we had trouble locating Brunette-Elisa afterwards, and I left her a voicemail asking if she had been stolen by the child snatchers, and if so, to please have them call us and we would try and get the ransom.

Turns out she was in getting the autographs of Wendy Padbury, John Levene (who played Sergeant Benson) and Frazer Hines (who was Jamie McCrimmon). Silly girl, and here I thought she'd been snatched. But while we were trying to find her there was an amazing adventure concerning a Dalek rolling through the halls of the convention and blaring commands at people. I nearly fangirled myself to death.

Later after rejoining with our lost Elisa, there was an altercation between the Dalek and a cyberman that she was awesome enough to go hopping ontop of tables and chairs to get pictures of for us.

Afterwards we went and got dinner in the pub and had a few drinks, as we were going to leave we saw Kai Owen at the bar, so I went up to say hi and he greeted me with "Oh hi, Lin" which totally gobsmacked me, because I couldn't believe he remembered me. He told me that of course he did and said "and this is Elisa and Elisa, right?" It was so cute. And impressive, since he had been drinking since like, noon. We chatted with him and he bought us shots. At some point Gareth David Lloyd showed up with his girlfriend from their Valentine's day dinner and Kai asked if he had met "my good friend Lin? And this is Elisa, and Elisa".
To which Gareth said he thought he had met me before, I said "Tinkerbell" and he said "Oh yes! I remember you! You know, I was wearing Tinkerbell wings at one point at Comic Con too."

So Amazing.

After we left the pub, we decided to wander around more then a bit tipsy. At which point we saw John Levene, and Brunette-Elisa wanted to go get a picture taken with him since she hadn't done so before. He was so nice! And he told us such touching and wonderful advice, and then said we should keep in touch with him. So nice!

Oh small child Pertwee, I tried to alert Elisa to the fact that she was still clutching candy we had gotten early and therefore looked a bit like a pedophile, but she didn't hear me, I think.

DAY THREE!

Sunday was lovely, even it was shorter. Reprized my "Empty Child" Rose costume, with more accurate hair, even though I really felt like a walrus in it.
We caught the panel with Wendy Padbury and Frazer Hines, during which Frazer told amazing stories about pranks with the second doctor, and hiding inside of one of the Daleks and frightening the crew. It was followed by a panel with Gareth David Lloyd and Kai Owen.
A great highlight of which being when they were asked if they weren't actors what they would want to be, to which Gareth said "astronaut" and Kai said "Footballer". Which was followed with:
Gareth: Footballer? Fuck that, Astronaut you go to the moon! Footballer you what? Go to Brazil? Marry a twat?
Kai: ... meh, I like sports
SO EPIC!
Afterwards I talked to Kai Owen a little bit again, he's so sweet.
As we were leaving we saw Frazer Hines smoking outside and went to ask if we could have our pictures taken with him. He was so amazing, and flirty XD And he told me I was beautiful and that I looked like Alyson Hannigan. It was amazing. And a wonderful end to the convention.

I loved this child so much, when we wanted to take his picture his father told him to act like a Dalek and he got this big grin and went "cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese"

Then was the long road trip back home, at some point during which Brunette-Elisa and myself screamed Weezer's "El Scorcho" from memory, and we all remembered just how much we loved "Alcohol" by the Barenaked Ladies.

Brunette Elisa crashed at mine and we got yummy dinner/lunch thing at Squat and Gobble the next day. Such good times! I am so excited for Wondercon even though it means I need to get right back on my sewing and there is no way it will be as good as Gallifrey.

Because, let's be honest, life will never be that wonderful ever again.

So, best weekend of my life? Yes, I bloody well think so.

So Halloween was pretty awesome this year! I had the first big party I've ever had at my apartment, and I think it was a success. Everyone seemed to have fun, and I'm so glad that as many people came as did. So if you were there, thank you! I adore you all! It was totally worth the nearly two days of baking and cleaning I had to do before the party!

So, it's been awhile since I posted pictures of anything. And there have been plenty of pictures to post that I have recently acquired from both Elisa and my lovely roommate Melissa.

So for starters:

Elisa's "Big Book of Boosh" showed up in the mail, so me and her read it on the BART over to Riannon's

This label has been much discussed since the purchase of this cake ... like how "moistest" doesn't seem like it should actually be a word. Which lead to my further disillusionment with the English language after I discovered that "worser" was also a word.

Then sometime last week I recieved a mysterious package... or rather a giant Styrofoam box with "CAUTION! DRY ICE!" inscribed around it. So the new semester began...

Survived my first week of the new semester. It helped a bit that it was short.
My 9:30 AM class is kicking my butt a little bit, just because I have such trouble being awake in the morning. But it's fairly interesting, lots of reading, but that's all right. So far my Vampire Literature class is cool, even if Twilight is on the reading list. But two days of class are dedicated just to watching Season 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And you can't beat that with a baseball bat with nails in it.

And I am LOVE-LOVE-LOVING my new roommate! She is made of awesome!! In the short time that she has lived here I have already begun to convert her to the ways of both Supernatural and Doctor Who, and she enjoys both... Well, she loves Supernatural. We've only gotten like 5 episodes into Doctor Who, but she does love Rose already, and this is an important quality in a roommate. I'm not sure I could live with someone who hates Rose.

But moving on....

Monday night I went out with Elisa and her mumsie Ellen. We were going to go see a movie, but there was like NOTHING good out, so we just had a nice dinner @ something 9 Bistro ...? I don't remember what it's called, but it's amazing and it's over by Golden Gate Park.

We loved this poster ... even tough it was wrong on like a bazillion levels

And of course, because I was there they played the Mighty Whurlitzer ... JUST FOR ME! I SUMMON THE MIGHTY WHURLITZER!!!!!

There was a fany costume party that I sort of wish I had participated in ... if only it hadn't been so much work
It was pretty awesome. Me, Elisa, and Melissa went and got Dinner at Little Orphan Andy's first, which I love, it has great grilled cheese. And then killed time with awesome stores on Castro until the movie started where I got THE MOST AMAZING RED RIDING HOOD FABRIC Then we met Alissa and went to the show. They gave us these awesome little goodie bags that had fake pearls, paper crowns, fish clappers, bubbles, and little poppers.

It was magical, and we all wore our crowns and pearls on the bus home.

I love this cake! It's so moist! And the frosting never gets hard, it stays gooey for days... and the cake isn't even made with eggs ooooooooh!
To Celebrate Melissa moving in (because she is awesome, and so celebrations were in order). I got to cook yummy foods, and hang out with Elisa, Sheila, Elisa R., Justin, and Sheila's friend Lindsey. I made home made macaroni and cheese, cheese scalloped potatoes, vegetable pot pie, and chocolate cake. All of it made from scratch ... because I R cooking Guru or something ... and we had left overs ... like cake, we still have lots cake...

Sunday I went and saw Hamlet 2 with Elisa, her mumsie Ellen, and Alissa, and we tried out MC Skewer, or whatever that place is called ... which was yumy .... EVEN IF IT DID REPLACE TODAI! WHICH IS UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!
Then me and Elisa marathoned Buffy and Angel, because that is always good times.

Monday we had no school, so me, Melissa, and Elisa marathoned Supernatural and ordered pizza. It was good good times...

Tomorrow I am off to Oakland to see my fair Sheila.... And NOW I HAVE UPDATED!

I know that it's taken me forever to get up my report on the second half of the con, but you know, been quite busy with school and ... stuff....
And I had been trying to get pictures of me and Elisa's day 4 costumes (that were just costume pictures), and I know Al took a bunch, but he hasn't put them up yet, so I had to scour through flickr accounts for some... which was all right because I managed to find some interesting photos of us on the web. So off we go then...

Day 3

ENCHANTED DAY!!!!!!! Elisa and I were both dressed as Giselle, I in her wedding dress and Elisa in her blue curtain dress. We couldn't walk three feet in our costumes without being stopped for photos...

+++First hilarity of the day, man stops us on our way into the convention center to take our picture, afterwards I remark to Elisa that he looked a lot like Patrick Dempsey, and we should have taken a picture with him just for laughs and been all "Look! We have a Robert! lulz!" that night looking through the programming guide for something to do on Sunday, I come across the fact that Patrick Dempsey WAS at comic con, and on way to a Grey's Anatomy panel at the time ... so it was actually Patrick Dempsey ... ha ha ha ha hahahahahahaha.... oh well .... in our defense, he was incognito... now back to your regularly scheduled programming+++

First order of the day, PUSHING DAISIES PANEL!! If you know me you know that I love Lee Pace, he is in second place for man I love most, after all. To my delight during the panel he spent a lot of time looking over at me, which made my heart to interesting fluttering things.
The whole cast is so amazing, and Kristen Chenowith SANG! And I RECORDED IT!!!! (I didn't get the very first bit, but still, you can tell how amazing she was)

The Pushing Daisies panel had been our only real plans for the day, so we decided to walk down to the little out door shopping area with a park by our hotel to take pictures of our Giselle costumes. (Namely Elisa's, since it looked properly like the setting of the "How does she know?" number). We ran into many small children, one little girl told Elisa that she was dressing up as her for her birthday, and another little girl just locked onto my skirts and had to be coaxed by her parents to look at the camera since she was contently snuggling into my petticoat.
It was frickin' adorable, and I don't even really like kids all that much, but for some reason when I dress up as Disney characters and they are all excited, it's easy for me to be sweet and actually enjoy it.

God I wish I had been a Disney Face actor.... but even if I could have gotten a job, you can't live in San Francisco and work at a Disney theme park... life goes on I guess.

So Elisa and were walking back towards our hotel when in the distance we see a group of what looks like Mad Hatter, Alice, and a Prince Edward? The Alice is pointing in our direction and then the Edward yells "GISELLE!" and runs at us.

So I do what anyone would do in this situation.

I yell "EDWARD!!!!" and hitch up my skirts and run towards him and when we reach other he picks me up and spins me around. Elisa catches up with us and he spins her too. There were spectators very amused by this, so we took tons and tons of pictures, and had tons and tons of pictures taken of us. And our Edward was so so so sweet.

I am a little sad that I didn't take a picture of the Hatter and Alice though, being as
A) their costumes were awesome
and
B) the Alice was Bri-chan who is one of my favorite artists.
Other then that the rest of the day was spent ho-ing around the dealer's hall so more people would take pictures of us....
And semi-stalking a guy dressed up as the Fifth Doctor, since both Elisa and myself have decided we really love Five.

The night ended with sushi, late night grocery shopping, and attempting to pack up as much we could.

Elisa thought carton man was really amusing ... he just creeped me out.

Day Four started out with last minute packing that I didn't get done the night before, since we were staying in a different hotel the last night of the convention, and we had to have everything together so wonderful Miss Ellen could easilly collect our effects while we ran to the Supernatural panel.
Which I *COMPLETELY* love Elisa for going to with me, since I haven't even shown her all of first season yet, but she knows that I am ridiculously in love with that show, and last year Jared Padelecki didn't make it.
The line was super long and it had sort of looked like we wouldn't get in, but we did, and I was so so so so so so so happy.
Both boys were so so cute and funny, and there was a cameo by the Ghost Chasers, and also they showed the first five minutes of the first episode of the new season. I squealed. I couldn't help it.
Afterwards we headed to the dealer's hall to check if there were any last minute things we wanted... or rather that Elisa wanted, since I had spent all of my money within the first two days of the convention .... mainly on action figures.

While walking through the dealer's hall a man brushes past me, and Elisa says "O.O That was Gareth David Lloyd!"
and I shriek "IT WAS?!?!" and because apparently the fact that I can't eat anything while dressed as Tinkerbell has gone to my head, and I have gone COMPLETELY insane, because I run after him and grab onto his sleeve and ask if I can take a picture with him
(and yes I know all around his booth there were all the "don't take pictures with! don't hug! don't BE WIERD!!!" signs, but I thought, hell, why not, maybe away from the booth?)
He says that he is going on his break and if I go by the booth in fifteen minutes he'll take a picture with me.
I get my copyrited Bambi eyes and say "PROMISE?! DO YOU PROMISE?!?!" he laughs and promises.

I totally don't think he'll actually do it, so in fifteen minutes we head over to the booth and I hang back over to the side because I used up all my nerve in that stunning display of whatever it was that I did. But he looks up and sees me, smiles, and says to the lady at the booth.
"I promised this lady I would take a picture with her." in his really cute welsh accent.
He pretty much snuggled me for the picture, and MY GOD, he smells incredible.
Oh Ianto Jones, I've got a crush on you.
Elisa is shy so I ask if it would be okay if she got a picture with him too.

Not even five minutes after leaving Gareth David-Lloyd's booth, we get stopped for a picture, and we realize that it's SETH GREEN! So I'm all "OHMIGOD! WE NEED A PICTURE WITH YOU!"
And he was all "sure, but be nonchalant so people don't all crowd over"
Oh Seth Green <3 you're so awesome and cute ... he too smelled good. And the guy with him was all like "Hey Tinkerbell, have some fairy magnets!" which was really funny.

Tinkerbell costume was a real hit, which made me happy, I got a lot of compliments on it, despite the fact that I'm a little self conscious about that costume since I feel like I don't really have the curves for Tink, so it was nice that people liked it so much.

The last event of the convention was the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical : Once more with feeling, sing along. Which was really fun, they put the lyrics on the screen and gave everyone little mutant finger puppets.

The guy at Starbucks didn't ask what my name was, this is what he wrote on the cup, it caused me a lot of amusement when one of the workers called this out, and I Saw my cup, it deserved a picture.

Last day in San Diego me, Elisa, and Ellen went and saw the Dark Knight (which was bloody fantastic!), but did make us almost late for our flight ... ehhhhh......

flight was fine, spent the whole time playing mahjong on the little computer screen.

However, at baggage claim I discovered that the zipper had busted on my suitcase, so I had to try and safety pin it together and struggle it to a taxi.
But since the suitcase was the only thing that really went wrong it's not such a big deal...

something horrible has to happen to me to even out all the good stuff ^.^;;;

NOW IT'S DONE! BA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Comic Con Part I !!!!

So I'm pretty aware of the fact that it had been over a week since Comic Con at this point. But

A) butt load of pictures and tons to talk about (hence it being split into multiple parts
B) recuperating and you know... having to go to school.... and ... stuff

I'm sure at this point, since a fair amount of you are also friends with Miss Elisa on livejournal that you've seen a lot of these pictures and heard these stories. Fah! I say! I have a few different ones in here, and you didn't get to hear *MY* sides of the stories, now did you?

That's what I thought! You shut up when you're talking to me or else you'll wake up in a coma!

Now to begin my report on the most amazing four days of my life con ever:

Registration Day

Ho boy, Registration day, I don't think Elisa talked much in the way of all about registration day.

So I guess I will, all right?

Basically, Tuesday I spent the night at Elisa's so we could both easily get into the same taxi to go to the air port for our flight @ 11 AM to San Diego (this was the first con I've ever *flown* to).

I don't know if you've ever heard me express my hatred of airports? If you have not already, my friend, you are about to.

I *HATE* airports. I don't so much mind the actual flying, aside from the fact that it plays hanky panky with my sinuses, but that aside, fine, whatever.

Me and Elisa had our act together though, and *WE* had showed up in the airport with plenty of time to spare before our flight, this other woman though, this horrible, horrible woman, and her poor ancient mother were not so much, apparently.

First the woman very brusquely pushes past me and Elisa to the security check point, and then more demands then ask that we let her mother ahead as well (which we would have done anyway you hysterical cow, there's no call for rudeness). After all this she is informed that she has to take her laptop out of her suitcase and run it through the x-ray again, the whole time she is bellowing (and I do mean that literally) about how her plane is going to leave in ten minutes.

And then she yells "LOOKIT! NOW I'VE CUT MYSELF!!!" and starts waving her hand around bellowing "I'M BLEEDING! I'M BLEEDING!!!". Elisa already made it through the check point, me I got stuck behind crazy horrible woman who is waving her arms around and bleeding all over the counter to the dismay of the staff and me and they have to scoot me and my baggage around horrible screaming woman.

And by the way, I forgot that my tazer was in my purse, and they didn't even notice, they just cleared it through.

Ellen (Elisa's mom) was amazing, basically all weekend, she picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel, and also treated us to lunch of Indian food, and then drove us to the convention center for our registration.

Which I had been *REALLY* worried that they were going to make me go and get each day instead of on preview night, because of how I had to buy each day separately.

And the line, my God the line, I wish I had taken a picture of how ghastly it was. But somebody else took a picture, where you can sort of see it, and I *ahem* Edited it and this picture does not even give you and idea of half so horrible as it was to actually be in the thick of it.

But once we got through it I ended up not having to fight tooth and nail for my right to my badges, they just forked them over, and even let me go in for preview night!

Which was awesome ... and also a really bad idea.... since I immediately threw my money at posters and action figures.

But the day resolved nicely, and me, Elisa, and Ellen got yummy pizza stuffs for din-dins after wards.

Dude look, it's me... there is this long standing joke between Elisa and I that I am the next regeneration of the master, so this had to be done.

We kept seeing this restraunt called "china camp", we were both amused and a little scared.

Day 1

Basically THE-MOST-AMAZING-DAY-EVER.

We knew that there was going to be a Torchwood and a Doctor Who panel. And there was confirmation that Naoko Mori (Tosh from Torchwood) and Steven Moffat (the best writer of New Who that there is, who is going to be taking over DW in 2010 and hopefully saving us from the pains inflicted by RTD) would be signing autographs. So me and Elisa wanted to get to the con early enough to get our tickets for Naoko and the Moff and still have ample time to go get a decent seat for the panels.

When we got there there were two lines, we were very confused. So I tapped this man on the shoulder and asked him what he was in line for, and he told us "the John Barrowman signing". To which I believe Elisa's jaw dropped and I let out a very shrill "WHAT?!?!?". The man kindly directed me to where tickets could be purchased to have John Barrowman's autograph.

While we were getting our tickets we kept hearing buzz about "Gareth" signing as well. Couldn't possibly be *OUR* Gareth could it? We both said. Not *OUR* Ianto Jones. So Elisa held our space and I investigated. And found Gareth David-Lloyd at an autograph table next to John Barrowman's in all his understated cute Welsh glory.

Two more tickets were purchased, and we tried not to vomit from nerves while we waited to talk to them.

I was in my Rose Tyler outfit from "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances", which was hot and uncomfortable, but I needed to be in the full ensemble when I met John Barrowman, so I toughed it out.

When it was my turn to get my autograph from John the man sitting next to him, who I assume is there to make sure that John doesn't get harassed/maimed/sexed/all of the above, gives me this really critical look, especially my union flag t-shirt, and says in the pissiest British accent I have ever heard.

"Are you British?"
me: "... no..."
"Do you just like things that *ARE* British?"
me:" .... umm, what?"
"Your shirt!"

At which point John chimes in with the most smooth and slick Captain Jack-ness ever and says
"No, no, she's Rose" and smiles his much too enchanting smile and says "I saved you in that outfit" I think I agreed, I was a little flustered. And then he says "Your skin is much nicer then Billie Piper's though"

.and I almost died.

Not only was one of the most insanely charming men ever in existence complimenting me, but he was saying that I was in someway superior to the woman who is, in my opinion, the embodiment of all things beautiful, I would give my left kidney to look like Billie Piper... or my right one... either really.... but that's starting to get away from me now...

So I moved to the side so Elisa can get her Torchwood poster (that she had brought along for Naoko Mori to sign). And the child stepped on it. I kid you not.
Ripped the damn thing.

John Barrowman, one of the sweetest men in the history of the world, tells the people at the booth he is signing at the get her another poster (the irony of which being that they are selling the exact poster Elisa had, for $50, whereas we had gotten hers for only $6).

He tells her "don't worry, it's on me", and then signs her new poster and yells "DON'T STEP ON IT!" at her. So I say
"Oooooooh! You got yelled at by Captain Jack!" to which responds
"That's right, do it again and I'll spank you!"
What? Jealous dear? Who dear? Me dear? no dear!

... yes, dear.

BUT ANYWAY

Gareth David-Lloyd had been quite amused by the Elisa poster shenanigans, but said nothing of it to her. And he was so so sweet, and he personalized our things, when really they were only just supposed to sign things (no personalization, no requests, no nothing kid! And if you don't like it take your business the next town over where they appreciate that sort of thing!)

Me and Elisa thanked them both profusely and then hurridly walked away all stiff legged until we were out of ear shot, at which point we grabbed hands and jumped up and down screaming like teenage nutjobs. Because we are dorks.

(on a side note, somebody get these damn fig newtons away from me before I eat the whole box... back to business)

The Doctor Who panel was awesome, Russell T Davies didn't make it. Which is okay, because I might have grabbed him by the neck and started screaming "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!?!? WHY???? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!??!?!"

But Steven Moffat did make it, and that's what really matters, since he is made of awesome. And they showed us the full length trailer for the upcoming Christmas Special, and the Moff is absolutely hilarious and is *COMPLETELY* all 3 of the men from coupling.

The Torchwood panel, was even more awesome though.

John Barrowman is the most fascinatingly energetic person ever born. He's twice my age and has 50x more energy then me, how did this happen? But they were so cool about answering everybody's questions, and him and Naoko Mori sang a duet from Miss Saigon ...which I am kicking myself for not recording ... BUT LOOK! SOMEONE ELSE DID!

Moving along.

Afterwards me and Elisa got to go stand in line for the Naoko Mori singing (I spent a good chunk of my time in line pining over a really cute Doctor cosplayer, but life goes on)
She was so incredibly sweet, she talked to us WAY longer then she should have, and she personalized my autograph, and I gushed at her.... a lot...

I think I told her I loved her like.... 10 times? Geez...

Then it was off to *ANOTHER* Line for the Steven Moffat signing.
I can't really tell you about what conversation was had between him and Elisa, since I couldn't hear that far, but when I first walked up I was greeted by him exclaiming:
"Oh my God! It's ROSE TYLER!" ... this made me much too happy... and I gushed at him too, about how he had written all of my favourite episodes, and how coupling was one of the most amazing shows ever made.

Then lovely, wonderful Ellen listened to us gush like morons and took us out to eat a fancy shmancy restraunt. I <3 you Ellen.

I was dressed up as Rose again, this time from the "Idiot's Lantern". Pink and fluffy costume of awesomeness, except for the shoes... which hurt.... really bad.
But I digress.

There wasn't as much going on the second day, but it was already the best con ever, so we didn't mind. We didn't even mind that much that we couldn't get into the MST3K panel, though that would have been nice.

So we mainly just took pictures that day, and then I mostly changed out of costume and we went and met up with Talaya and saw "The Worst Cartoons ever" which is sheer brilliance, and then we caught the very end of Simon Pegg's Spaced panel, but we had made it in time to see the three episodes that that they showed of it.

The Master is shocked and appalled and demands an explanation for this madness.

So I know it's been a few weeks now since all the birthday shennanigans, but I've been reeeeeeally busy with school and everything, so between that and having to get my pictures from other people because I'm a complete idiot and didn't take any of my own.
So here you go, a rehash of the last few weeks with pretty pictures to look at.

First "party" was in Southern California on June 14th at Kampai.
This Japanese Teppan house in Oxnard that me and Kim have gone for our birthdays (since we're only ten hours apart) on every even numbered year.

hard to believe but there was no alcohol consumed during this night

So, I'm not always the most pleasant person in the world.

June 17th, Kim's birthday
so we took her to Chevy's where they could humiliate her...

Over a week later, and just now getting them up.
I have excuses! I really do! Between caring for my ankle and the migraines, traveling to southern california and all the other hubbub of this week I just didn't get around to it.... especially when you factor in that two of those days were spent fast asleep O.o
But now I have had time and I am making with the pretty pictures and stuff....
That being said, here we go.
Day one

Day Two

we met up with Riannon, who looked *AWESOME* in her Sith garb.

I made both of our Katamari outfits, and Elisa was a darling and made the head pieces and katamaris

there was an amazing park with a giant replica of a monopoly board where we went and took pictures

I am smart! I can use the yellow pages!

Torchwood and pizza delivery are two things that make for a totally awesome night.

I clearly should be allowed nowhere near program guides with pens when I am bored.

Day Three

Elisa did a completely *AMAZING* photoshoot of me, in which she actually, once again, managed to somehow make me look pretty, I don't know how she did it, but I think I owe her something for it.

so, since most of my southern california friends are no longer around, having relocated or whatever, I have decided that I will visit with any remaining friends in southern california the weekend before my birthday (and yes, that especially means Kampai with you Kim).

As of right now I am planning on having a party on my actual birthday up here @ my flat in SF.
The only problem being that my birthday falls middle of the week this year, on a Wednesday to be precise, so hopefully people will still be able to attend and this won't screw with work or whatever.

So if you guys who are interested want to either comment or message me via the "send this user a message" option on my profile here and send me your e-mail addresses, I am planning out an evite to send to you lovely children with all the details.

So it comes to my attention that I will be turning 22 in just a little over a month.

I have no idea what to do about my birthday this year.

To begin with, I have Summer Session classes, so I will actually have school on my birthday.

And my friends are pretty well divided between Northern and Southern California.

So, I do want to see my Southern California friends around my birthday, like maybe the weekend before because my birthday falls on a Wednesday I think? And I know that it being an even numbered age year that Kim and I are supposed to go to Kampai for embarrassing paper hats, japanese drums, and pineapple with whipped cream.

But what should I *DO* about my birthday? Should I try to have two smallish parties in Southern and Northern California?

And should they be themed if I do this? Because I am weird and when I have birthday parties I need them to be themed. And I think I have birthday parties to ignore the fact that I really dislike my birthday ... I like parties, I just don't like the actual birthday, it makes me feel down... but that is neither here nor there....

Anyway, opinions please dear readers, as to what you think I should do.

And for some unknown reason I am feeling prompt, and have just finished scanning them, and uploading them to Flickr, so I thought, hey, why not, I'll share them... make some people (my mother) happy.

... but let's be fair, life has been more then just the teeniest bit hectic lately. My time has pretty much been an amalgamation of take home tests, group projects, papers on things like "sustainable practices in the textile industry" (could you get any more dull?), my enormous final research project for fables and tales, working on costumes, going to the gym, and striving to delicately balance having a social life in the midst of all this.

So, that being said, I realize I haven't put any pictures up in quite awhile ... like coming up on month now, so without further ado...

Possibly irrelevant, but these are strawberry mango muffins that I made for Miss Elisa when she was feeling a bit under the weather ... I believe they were enjoyed?

April 12 was Elisa R's Hot Fuzz themed surprise party

ginormous graveyard we saw out the window of the BART en route to the party... it was... spooky

not expecting a party, the birthday girl had arrived in a lovely kimono fresh from having stylish pictures taken.

Miss Elisa came as the Japanese Peace Lily

I, however, was the ex-girlfriend from the beginning of the movie... such a flattering outfit

As pretty much no one else was in costume I ended up getting back into my normal clothes ... with the addition of the Pete Douherty hat.

It was an orange cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting

Mighty Boosh Party May 4th @ Edinbourough Castle Pub

we looked basically amazing and frightened the natives of Park Merced as we waited for our cab

Elisa and I were in attendance as Anthrax and Ebola from the Nanageddon episode... we took fabulous pictures

after the festivities we sat at the bar and had fish and chips... an the nice Scottish man who ran the event bought us drinks...
... we were ever so popular

It's hard to see but the little sign above the bar says "Haggis crossing"
